A zeotropic refrigerant blend is a mixture of two or more refrigerants that can separate, or fractionate, into its original components. These blends can exhibit a temperature glide, meaning that the temperature of the refrigerant changes during evaporation or condensation.
Near-azeotropic refrigerant mixtures (NARMS) are zeotropic blends that have properties very similar to those of azeotropes.
Both NARMs and zeotropic blends are commonly found in the 400 series refrigerants, such as R-404A and R-410A.
